Fall Nails

NAILS!!! I’ts that time of year where it is actually in to wear darker shades of nail polish and I am so happy!!! My favorite shades are always dark colors and black is obviously my go to color for any season, what can I do if I love it? Nothing! Haha.
This fall and winter season is obviously more about the dark shades. For fall we have more solid color whereas in winter we will see more of glittery polishes, mostly thanks to the holidays that give us an opportunity to go all glittery which, let’s admit, we all love.
But let’s focus on fall for now, shall we? I’ve noticed that this year it’s all about what I like to call The Cholate-y Colors, which is basically colors that look like chocolate on your fingers and makes you want to eat chocolate every time you look at them. We are talking mostly brown colors, whether very pure or with a hint of red in them.

Chocolate Nails!

In this first collage we have Nails Inc. polishes in Cadogan Square and Holl and Park Avenue. I gotta say they look divine, I would totally wear the lighter color during the day and the darker one at nighttime, or the lighter one during the week and the darker one for partying on the weekend, which I never do anymore but in my mind watching the Parent Trap and My Best Friend’s Wedding on my bed makes me a party animal.
We’ve got two Essie polishes, one very appropriately named Chocolate Cakes and the other one, a lighter tone, called Jazz which actually reminds me of chocolate milk #yum
The last one in this collage I’m sure will sell amazingly this upcoming holiday season and has already started to be in everyone’s nails already: Love Is Hot and Coal from the OPI Gwen Holiday Collection. What a beautiful color! Out of all the polishes in this ChocoNails! collage this is more my style because of it’s beautiful dark tone.
Ok so now let’s check the next collage out!

I included three more chocolate-y colors because I actually made this one first and then I thought it was such a good idea to do a Chocolate Nails collage. Maybe it has something to do with the emptiness eating all my 12 brownie box left in me. Here we’ve got Essie’s Partner In Crime, Little Brown Dress (such a cute name!) and OPI’s How Great Is Your Dane? (gotta love those fun OPI names).
I’ve also included a beautiful pink color called Ithaque Light Pink which is such a good option for this fall as well, always classic and stylish. If you’re not feeling the whole dark vibe or the chocolate thing this season, this color is perfect for you and I think it will be a good purchase for it’s atemporality, you can wear it any season.
Navy is another atemporal color and it goes perfectly for this season’s dark trend. This one is from Butter London and anything made in the UK I love and trust, I’m sure it won’t let us down. I recently saw Selena Gomez wearing navy nails with a white jumper and dark violet lips on her Jimmy Kimmel Live interview and I loved the whole combination of colors, but specially the navy nails.
If we are talking about singers and trendsetters can we all just take a moment to praise the one and only Taylor Swift!? She is flawless! From her perfect and highly anticipated 1989 album to all her looks during the promotion of it. I’ve probably seen all the interviews she’s done everywhere! #notsorry. You name it, Australia, UK, United States, Canada, I mean the girl is everywhere and sporting perfectly flawless looks. Her nail color of choice has mostly been a blue with glitter one but then I was watching a hilarious UK show called Chatty Man and I saw her nail color and I flipped because it was so gorgeous Mcgorgeous: a super dark green that sometimes would look black and right then and there I decided I need to have this polish like now! She wore it with a black cropped ensemble and I just...I just can’t #perfection.

What are your options for nail polish this fall? Let me know! Are you loving the darker shades? The chocolate nails? Which one will you try? I hope you guys let me know!

xoxo,

Lumi
